My name is Nina Doxey. Nina is pronounced like China.
I have a composite degree in Vocal Performance and Music Education with a Choral emphasis. I have been teaching High School Choir, Music Theater, and AP Music for the past 22 years. I have enjoyed every minute of it, including night performances, tours, festivals, and the school musicals. I also hold a masters degree in education curriculum and design with a language arts emphasis. At Roy High School I have 5 choirs, A Glee Club, Early Morning Bell Choir, /Music Appreciation 1010/AP Music, and Theater Tech.
Before teaching I worked 25 years for a national retail store in Human Resources, Auditing and Sales Management.
I have a wonderful husband, three beautiful daughters, three fantastic son-in-laws, and nine grandchildren.
I enjoy, biking, hiking, snow skiing, motor biking, traveling, reading, exercising, and of course music. I am currently singing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and enjoy this very much.
Before teaching in the public school system I taught private voice, piano, and organ in my home studio and have actively participated in Community Theater, singing groups, music, and civic events including the Layton and Roy City Arts Councils.
I love teaching, and enjoy seeing students reach their potential, even if I have to push them a little, and to see the change in their lives through the power of music.
