Title: Adventures in XR: AR/VR/MR
Course Description: In this session, we will be using all kinds of eXtended Reality (XR) tools to experience Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR). This will be the most cutting edge presentation at LEARN. Join us for some mind stretching fun. The session is limited to 15 participants because we need extra space so you won't injure yourself . . . or anyone else. Also, because most AR apps require a smartphone, the session is intended primarily for secondary teachers and their smartphone toting students,
What Tech Tool Will Be Utilized: We will be using a variety of AR tools and VR with the HTC Vive. YOU WILL NEED YOUR SMARTPHONE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE AR EXPERIENCES.
Integrated Strategy: This session will be exploratory and will include time for you to brainstorm ideas for how you can integrate these technologies into your instructional planning.
What You’ll Experience: You will experience a world beyond imagination!
What Challenge You Will Do: Participants will be learning about the XR environments and finding tools to use in class. Because this session is "out there," we will not be focusing on any one particular challenge.
