Title: Lights! Camera! Action! Putting the We in WeVideo
Course Description: This interactive session will open your lenses (eyes) to the world of the NLVE! You'll be learning how you can make your students video creators and producers instead of video-consuming YouTube junkies. We will be leveraging the power of WeVideo and your Chromebook and those of your students to create beautiful video products that can also teach.
What Tech Tool Will Be Utilized: WeVideo and Chromebooks
Integrated Strategy: Video production utilizes multiple strategies including, but not limited to, integrating with prior knowledge, transfer strategies, scaffolding, class discussion, microteaching (as kids prepare to share their products with their classmates), and constructivist teaching. I could keep going with this list, but to save space I won't. You get the idea.
What You’ll Experience: We'll start with basic WeVideo tools for video creation and editing and work up to making your own video products using the Chromebook as your workstation. You'll see that your students, of whatever age, can become movie moguls!
What Challenge You Will Do: You will make at least one video you can use with your class next fall.
